I'm Chesna, a home styling enthusiast and hopeless dog lover.
This is my {condensed} life story: I was born and raised in Texas then attended the University of Arkansas ('09) in Fayetteville where I met my husband, Matt, who is an Okie.
We've been married for 7 years and now after a stint in Boston while Matt got his MBA ('14), we're settling into Oklahoma City. While we don't actually live on a homestead, we dream of one day having land and animals. For now though, we're loving our 2,000 square foot house in a historic preservation neighborhood in the middle of the city.
This blog follows our first house- a 1937 charmer, our impossibly emo rescue dog- Shep, our more recently adopted not-so-emo rescue dog, Birdie, and us.
Come along!
P.S. Want to get in touch? Email me at okchomestead@gmail.com or fill out the "Contact Me" form.
This is me, Matt, and Shep, but just so we're clear, this isn't our house. ^^ Photo by Brittany Strebeck: http://brittanystrebeckblog.com Our 1937 tudor in the historic Crown Heights neighborhood of Oklahoma City. |
